Eli Manning was awesome today even with backup lineman against the leagues best defense. I can't stress it enough. He was 9/9 at one point. He was aggressive early, got the lead and then that completly changed the 49ers from a ground and pound offense into making alex smith throw. I give eli all the credit in the world.

You can't be a game manager when you are down a heap of points. Smith is nothing more than a game manager, it really shows he can't lead his team being down several possessions.

It's not even about being a game manager. Alex Smith is a coached up robot. Can't think on his own or run an offense on his own. He comes out of the huddle knowing who he is going to throw to on every single play. That doesn't work in the NFL. It might when you are ahead or against crappy teams. If you are winning you throw to your guy or throw it away/take a sack. When you are losing you throw picks like he did today. He had no business making those throws.
