Carl Crawford just stole home easily against the Red Sox. I don't know if anyone else agrees with me but that just seems embarrassing.

#4It's only embarrassing for half the people seeing it. I happen to think it's cool since I've got Crawford on a fantasy team, plus it's just an exciting play in baseball.Comment -

Jason Johnson has washed out everywhere else he's stopped along the way, why should Boston be any different?Comment -

#10A steal of home and an inside-the-park home run are probably the most exciting individual plays in baseball, IMO.
The steal of home, unfortuantely, is a dying art.
I remember about 30 years ago Rod Carew stole home several times in one season.
Jackie Robinson also stole home a bunch of times during his career in the 40's and 50's, but in most cases today it happens only on the front end of a double steal, when a runner draws a throw going from first to second, and the runner on third breaks for home late.
The inside-the-park home run is dying out because the parks are getting smaller.
Before Yankee Stadium was renovated in the 70's, they had the monuments on the actual playing field, and dead center was something like 470 feet from home plate.
Guys used to hit balls that wound up behind the monuments, and there were always several inside-the-park homers in Yankee Stadium every year.Comment -
