I'll save you all the long essay. Most of you don't know me...which is the way it should be. The few of you who know me probably know how big a baseball and Giants fan I am. For those of you who are also big baseball fans, you know how superstitious us baseball nuts can be.
OK...so on with it. Until a week ago I had never cared about SBR points nor had I ever bought a damn thing with them. Even though I had loaded up 50K or 60K SBR points in a 2 month span I still had no real intention on buying anything. Then I realized I had lost every SF Giants sweatshirt I owned. So I bought an $200 Amazon gift card for 4600 points. Got a new SF sweatshirt, a coat for the woman (yes, never show your lady the sbr store), and some crap for the house.
Fast forward to NLDS games 1 and 2. I sat in View Box 325 at ATT Park for both games....filled with alcohol and passion but just a hat....no SF sweatshirt. We got our souls crushed those first 2 games. The next day I get a knock on my door and it's the package from Amazon. The woman running around all excited because she got some stupid coat she'll never wear. I'm still depressed but owner of a free new SF sweatshirt thanks to SBR. Big effing deal!
Well SF just came back from 0-2 to win 3 GAMES ON THE ROAD IN CINCY and move on the the NLCS. How did they do it? I don't know but it's probably a result of this effing spectacular sweatshirt I wore all 3 winning games. Sure Bochy, Posey, and Vogelsong had a hand in it. But this sweatshirt is legit boys.
Yeah I cashed +950 on SF series and made up for the loads I lost game 2. Who cares. I'm going to the NLCS either this weekend or next week. I don't care who SF plays. I don't care if I stroll down to ATT park on Sunday or Wednesday. This just happened.
So cheers, SBR. The loyal SF community of fans thank you for making this happen. I'm not gonna sleep in this damn sweatshirt....that would be crazy. But I might just go to the World Series in it.
