some people have jobs and don't get fired from pepsi for slacking on # of pallets finished per day.....
the amount he is paying to go to vegas for 34 hrs is less than some pay for food and gas for a trip to a casino 100 miles away for 8 hrs of gambling.....

$124 is a great deal, only 35 hours? You don't even need a room for that short of time in Vegas.

I chose not to be a slave. I enjoy my part time office job a lot more. Pepsi fired 90% of their staff in the last year. 1 individual received a 200k+ settlement. 43 individuals are involved in a class action where 3 years pay was already offered and denied. Company's do dirty things as long as they get away with it. I was the first to point out that employees have rights as stated in a contract. Violating osha standards, labor laws, and employee rights as stated in a legal binding contract along the way. Corporations try to strike fear in their employees eyes by threatening gestures. I laughed all the way to the bank.
Next time you want to critisize me for a statement i make think twice. But to answer you response with a calm gesture. " use a couple vacation days and stay 3-4 days instead of 34 hours".

Pepsi isnt unionized as a company. Each plant has its own union. The union's are sort of pepsi bvtch because they go with whatever pepsi says. As it stands now there are only a handfull of union members since the rest were fired and your non union for 9 months. So theyre paying current employees about half what we used to make.

It seems like you're saying you were in a union if the new hires are making half the salary. If so, there should have been a shop steward around to inform everyone of their rights.

This.
I've been to vegas 6 times in 2012, 4 of them for 48 hours or less. I must say I enjoy the 48 hour or less trips a lot
