    Jets Brass learning hard lesson
Only three seasons ago this was a team on the rise with one of the best defenses in football.

Now it appears they've mortgaged away their future on their desire to be in the spotlight and become New York's #1 team between the Hard Knocks, Tebow-mania, and all the other drama.

Meanwhile the Giants have won another Super Bowl and the Jets are stuck with a mess at quarterback, a defense that was neglected and has become old, and a coach whose job looks to be on the line.

For their sake, I hope they learn from this lesson.

He can put Tebow in and it might help but at the end of the day it's a shitty football team.

Yet this shitty team almost beat the supposed best team in the nfl? Jets peaked too many years ago.

Wins and losses are all that matter at the end of the day. Houston is 5-0.

I will say Jets have lots of injuries that are hurting them

I give them a free pass

First time I'd seen the Jets in a while and it was pretty underwhelming. Their defense looked as bad as anything I've seen this year and Sanchez and what they're doing on offense does not inspire. Cromartie can still cover (except for that lumbering TE) but still refuses to tackle (watched him in his S.D. days). I guess the KO return was the point spread killer but how Houston didn't cover in this is beyond me (I ended up taking the Jets +10.5 for $2 but that was just for grins) - maybe they shouldn't have passed as much as they did since they were running wild. If I had to pick a #1 team in the league right now, it is S.F. and not Houston. The Jets should dump the wildcat and just put Tebow in at QB, keep their fingers crossed for the rest of the year with him like the Broncs did and start planning to draft a new guy for that position.

                    Tell that to the bettors.

I can barely imagine how many people doubled down on their hate of Rex Ryan last night - and got burned.

Once again your lack of knowledge prevails. ALMOST beating someone means nothing. You don't win a Superbowl by ALMOST beating the other team.

Sanchez holds on to the ball too long. Take off.

Yes very bad news. I was a Bears fan back when Alex Karras played; my dad had season tickets for us at Wrigley but I always appreciated the way he played, watching the Lions on Thanksgiving and later on, his 'cult' status. I hope that he can get on down a peaceful road .....

                                lot of injuries this year.

they have no running game...tomilson was great when they had him. Now nobody running well.

If they get a decent running back or WR..they will be good again.

and tebow was a mistake..it was more of a marketing strategy...does no good to the team.

Window has closed for the Jets. They'll hang around for some years in a Chargers kind of way. Good days and bad days, but nothing consistent.

9/22 starters were either questionable or out this week, like jj said you have to give them a pass Ryan not going anywhere.
