I already get the major ones like SI, ESPN, and Sporting News, but what other publications should I get? I usually get all of my info online, but would like to have something on paper.

The Newspaper Ill. That along with SI and ESPN and Sporting News (<- this one may be the best when it comes to catering to gamblers)....

Other than that all of my info is in stat fox reports and these boards. I am interested if I should add something to the rotation.

Two standouts to prepare for football season:

College Football: Phil Steele's 2006 Preview
NFL and college: Marc Lawrence's Playbook

I have never heard of that one. Is that available outside Vegas, or do I have to special order it at Borders?

the daily racing form is a must for horses. as far as betting goes. there really isn't one IMO, because you can find everything you need online.

Agree with Dan, online does me. I use the websites of the local media, particularly newspapers, considering i don't get as much info down here (for U.S sports at least).

P.S I see from the Poker thread that you must be planning on a bit of reading.

Since the weather is real nice I find myself sitting outside more reading. Figured I would get some advice on the best sports/poker mags.
