Andy Pettite has not pitched in over 9 days, I think it is safe to assume there is going to be some rust there. Also, its going to be very cold and crisp tonight at Camden Yards, going to be very very hard for the old man to get loose. I really have no idea why the Yanks aren't throwing Kuroda in this spot and imo its a big mistake.


see Andy getting touched up quite a bit. I know he is the ultimate post season warrior but this isn't the old Andy Pettite we are talking about. he has struggled badly with injuries ever since the HGH stuff.

main point, just think the cold weather is really going to be a factor in him not being able to get loose, leading him to be ineffective.

I think this might be a good play. The O's scored 2 runs against CC and missed a bunch of chances. Seems like a good bet that they can score 2 more than the last game. After last nights game the O's I think will get that big inning that they needed last night.

as long as they aren't pressing and feel under the gun from being down 1-0, they should be fine. Buck seems to always have them in the right mind set and having them play lose, so hopefully that will not be an issue. they need to be patient and wait pettite out for their pitches to hit cause they are going to get them.

yes ... pettitte warms up before gametime anyway ... stretches all day before the day he pitches so he will be constantly lose ... plus look at cc yesterday waiting forever and still threw him ...

i think girardi wants the playoff experience guy going on the road in this spot so expect pettitte to be pitched
