In a 20 over game a 36 run win is pretty comfortable, especially given that the West Indies only gave them a fairly low total to chase. In home conditions against a team that only really had 1 decent bowler, Sri Lanka should have eased home.

The pressure of winning a world tournament in front of their home fans probably got to them.

It's a great sport. If wagering though, you have to be careful to check which kind of game it is.

Some games are 20 overs a side, some 50 overs a side (both where teams only get a chance to bat through once). Some games last up to 5 days with each team getting a chance to bat through twice. And after 5 days you can still end up with neither team winning!!
