Don't just look at the score last week, West Virginia actually has a very good run defense. So if Texas can;t run, the game will be put into Ash's hands. Yes he looks much improved over last year, but he has had a great running game supporting him and has not yet been asked to win a game on his own. On the other side, Geno is great but W VA won't score 70 vs. Texas.

I'm a rabid Longhorn fan but wouldn't touch them in this game. What in the hell happened to that defense???????? There was a spell in the early 80's I believe when the defense was bad(the offense too) but I do believe this is one of the worse Texas defenses in a half of a century.

The 50 yard QB sneak they gave up last week says it all. They have no presence, always out of position and only average tacklers.

One theory is they are young and talented players that will get better every week. Wish I could buy this. Their secondary is about average and thats the strength of the D so far. Of course its easy to have a good secondary when teams are running up the middle for 6 yards a dive.

As far as the game itself, this is not a field WVU will be comfortable on. Memorial Stadium is the big time and Texas is a prime time team at home on national TV. Even after my rambling Unibomber manifesto I think the defense will play a little better this week. WVU is probably on par talent wise as Okla St so a game similar to last week is what I would expect.
