#2his continued fight for sobriety will have to be factored in, in his decision i'd think. Maybe staying put where he has some roots and connections? maybe near to home home? but then maybe not. Staying away from places where he'll face more temptation and pressure might be wise? Who has the $ available? i'm sure he'll want 6 years or something, which will pay him past his 37th birthday
I have no idea myself, but just throwing out some ideasComment -

#4Yankees arent signing him
The kids dont spend money like the old man
Whoever signs him is taking a huge risk in regards to him relapsing
Would think whatever team signs him will have a clause to void contract if something goes sideways
Will the union allow that?Comment -

#10He absolutely will not be re-signed by Texas. Nolan has had enough of his drama queen shit, as have most of the local fan base.
Him and his wife are pretty trashy. They're only interested in signing for the top dollar.
Time for him to hit the bricks, and get the fukk out of here.

#13I dont think he will get a monster 200+ million dollar deal
Something has obviously gone wrong with the guy this year.
If the Rangers are that disenchanted with him they might leak it in the offseason. Will scare a lot of teams awayComment -

#15I can only hope that he stays clean and the Seattle Mariners sign him. They have quite a bit of money in their reduced salary limitations. With the fences moved in a little next year, he would flourish.

Unless the Mariners offer 25MM per year he wouldn't come up here.
