These one game playoffs are a disgrace. Baseball is getting more pathetic by the year. Good value on the Cards here.

There is no value on the cards here. The braves have great numbers against basic bro Lohshe. He tops out at 90 and has no put away pitches in a playoff atmosphere. The cardinals are not hitting.

Beltran is off the PED's. John Jay is a terrible leadoff hitter. Their bullpen is not as good as Atlanta's.

Kris Medlin is the hottest pitcher in the league. The braves are at home and will be playing for chipper.

Cardinals are done. It would have to be +250 to have any value.

sadly i agree...only thing i think you hang your hat on is loshe will seriously up his free agent dollars with big performance here,,sure he much like maddux who was another great pitcher that never fared as well in playoffs, and you right cards not hitting and they just not primed to make a run like last yr, even their decent play down the stretch was as much to do with the caliber of teams they were playing as anything they were doing...matheny will have to be super smart here and be ready to yank loshe before atl gets into their 3rd ab against him,,he prob give cards solid performance, like 5 innings 2 er but if matheny trots him back out it could get ugly...

freese showing a little life but beltran is done, holliday is banged up and cant catch up with heat right now, only thing they got going is they are a big gm type of team and lot of pressure on medlen..i

Why is it a disgrace?

You play such a long season, why not allow one more non-division winning team from each league?

I think these games will be exciting.

Yes exciting. I think they will eventually tweak it and make it a 3 game series

Have it start day after season ends and give the other teams a couple extra days off

yeah give the guy a break, it is game 1 of the playoffs i think we all know its a 1 game playoff. and besides this guy is capping Lohse and Medlen the fact that its 1 game makes no difference.

and you can bet your bottom dollar if Lohse struggles Waino will be on the bump faster than you can blink an eye...

Cards are a team full of clutch players. i like them as a +150 dog. but haven't decided if i want to play it. is Lance Berkman gonna be ready?

Wainwright has dominated the Braves in his career, would've set up better for them if he was on the bump.

In general terms, I can't say that the Reds and Cards aren't solid teams but it is hard to give them the benefit of the doubt when they played over a fifth of their games against the Cubs & Astros.

I'll probably play Braves -1 tomorrow.
