I hate to say it but I don't think the Nats get there. Pulling Stras was just fukking retarded. Their rotation is just not that great without him. They brought in Lannan to replace him. Lol.Guy throws 87 mph.
Here's their rotation.
*Gonzalez (he's legit)
*Zimmerman (he's legit)
*Detwiller (he's falling apart)
*Jackson (he's a joke)
*Lannan (he belongs back down in Triple A)

When it was-
*Stras
*Gio
*Zim
*Detwiller before the meltdown
*Jackson could squeeze out a couple wins here and there.

That was the best rotation in the league. Now their closer Clippard cant close a door. Storen is blowing saves....

They peaked at the wrong time and unfortunately unless their pitching staff figures it out they're gonna be in trouble.

one stat is all the steals trout got. well, trout got tons of steals because he got tons of singles. miggy cannot steal if he hits a bomb! he also hit a lot of doubles and then most times you don't steal third. so you can't penalize miggy for getting extra base hits.

Hes slow, he's a dp waiting to happen, horrible 3rd baseman but if he wins the triple crown you have to give it to him. This is coming from a die hard Ángel fan. The first time I saw Trout bat "live" at Angel stadium he went yard. Leadoff bomb to start the game. I'll never forget that.

sam that is because they still played like the needed to win, now they play like they are owed the win, poorly coached for the past three years, talent and home runs always fixed the coaching blunders.

He's slow because he's playing hurt. Same can be said for how he plays third base.

I'm not saying Miggy's fleet footed by any means, but a lot of his struggles are because he's playing on a bum ankle and has been for quite some time. All things considered, it's amazing what he's doing on one wheel and given the fact that, like Prince, he's a rare superstar who doesn't ever leave the lineup under any circumstances. You just don't see that anymore.
