I see it as a toss-up and placed my coin on Philadelphia @ -3EV. This is a must win for the Eagles and I think the Giants will have a tough time adjusting to Philadelphia's passing game after last week's dominating win over Dallas. Philadelphia by 9.

This line is fairly tight(obviously), but if there is a play I think it's the Eagles. I had Giants on the opener but I'm going to have to buy out at a loss after my work during the week.

I think the Eagles are the better team, but the fact that the Giants have been so good on the road makes this line seem exact.

I like the Giants but won't play it for the time being. Teasing them may be the best option for greater odds.

This is their first game since they won the Super Bowl, I'm sure McNabb is sick to his stomach Eli Manning has a ring. I know the Philly fans will be up for this. If it was in Jersey I'd be a little worried.

HUH?
The Giants are one of the two best teams in the NFL. I personally rank them number one ahead of Tennessee.

I am staying away from this game, but gun to my head, I'd have to go with the better team getting points. Still, this line seems a bit fishy, as it implies that these teams are even on a neutral field. I think the Giants are around a field goal better, meaning that this line should be around Pick or Philly -1 at the most.
Thing keeping me off is that Eagles have all the motivation here, which also is a reason for the funky line.

Eagles are the best team in the league when healthy, except Patriots of course. They would be undefeated if Westbrook, Curtis, and Brown had played every game.

Now I KNOW not to take you seriously.
Patriots are a now a middle-of-the pack team that may not even make the playoffs this year. Cassel has been efficient, but he's no Brady and he can't throw the long ball. Not to mention the fact that the New England secondary is old and slow.
But back on topic, what basis can you possibly have for the Eagles being better than the Giants when both are at full stength?

Brady is injured, I mean if Brady was healthy they would be the best team in the league, you missed what I meant.

If Brady was healthy, then the Pats could postentially have the best offense in football.
The thing is, the defense has slipped considerably, meaning that the offense would have to compensate more so than last year. That said, they would probably be favorites to win the AFC with Brady, although I would love to see a matchup between the Tennessee defense and a healthy Pats offense.
Tennessee's defensive line is very similar to the Giants line that manhandled the Pats O-Line in the Super Bowl.

Home Cookin' System: Take any Home team favored by 3 or less (Pick 'em too, but no dogs) coming off a win by 7 points or more.
This week's plays are Philly and Atlanta.

agree with the better team getting 3 (maybe buy to 3 1/2) is the play and the line should be pk or philly -1 cause of home edge
not worried about any extra motivation/need on this game
mcnabb and his weapons outplaying eli might be a problem tho

I think I am playing Giants, they are very tough and physical and should wear Eagles down with their running game.

I have to go with the better team. Giants rush should throw McNabb off balance. The Giants running game will wear down the D - Jacobs has been punishing. Giants + the points is my play. Should be a great game.

Being a Pats fan, it pains me to say this, but the defense started falling apart last year. Even though they were undefeated in the regular season there was several close calls. (Eagles, Ravens, and Giants to name a few).
They need to rebuild their defense with some youth if they are to become a dominant team again. They have a good start with Mayo, but they have got a ways to go.

I tend to disagree. With Westbrook back on the bill, the Eagles are destined to win this pretty easy. Philly wins and covers (-3).

That was my thinking. The NYG are solid on the road. Great OFF and DEF line. Enough weapons on Offense. I see them winning by 7-10.
I should be down for 2 units.
