Before You Bet TCU...
This isn't a formal write-up or anything, just an observation.
Utah is one of those teams that gets amped up out of their minds for big games. Now I know what you are going to say - who doesn't?
Well that may be true, but there are certain teams that get up higher than others for big games, and in my opinion, Utah is one of them. They play with a lot of pride and they love being the underdog.
Look back to 2007...
Week 3, they were already 0 - 2 coming off of losses to Oregon State and Air Force, and they hosted (ranked if my memory serves me correctly) UCLA. Utah was a 15 point underdog. They won the game 44 - 6.
Week 6 they played Louisville, in Louisville. They were 15 point underdogs. They won that game outright too, 44 - 35
Week 8 they were an 3.5 point underdog again @TCU, and you guessed it, they won outright 27 - 20.
Last week of the season they did lose to BYU as a 4.5 point underdog by a final score of 17 - 10, but the BYU TD was a last minute score and the game was very close.
They beat Navy in their bowl game.
This year, they've only been an underdog once, and that was @Michigan. As I and a few others around here predicted they would, Utah won outright.
What does all this mean? Maybe nothing. Just wanted to point this out before you dumped your entire bankroll on TCU; Utah plays its finest football when the odds are against them.
