This place gives him a stage to use that to get some attention, nothing more, nothing less.

What you're referring to is the natural exodus of the final remnants of the normal people who used to post at SBR as they begin to realize that this place is little more than an e-leper colony for people suffering from social exclusion in their own life. The forum is actually 80% villains at this point, if you ask me, and the grab-assery is their way of learning to form cliques and alliances for the first time.

Welcome to the internet, post-Facebook. Anybody halfway normal just goes out and socializes normally, then uses Facebook to keep in touch with the people they enjoyed out in the world. That leaves forums left to scratch out a living with the people for whom Facebook doesn't work, either because they don't get out enough or they don't make a favorable enough first impression with most people to facilitate that initial exchange of contact info.
