before you call this a "homer pick", the badgers are on of my least favorite teams (i'm a marquette fan)

wisconsin isn't going 0-12 ats and this spread is completely insane

ball might not be 100% but so what, the offensive line is much more important than whatever running back wisconsin has out there. getting rid of danny o'brien at qb was a huge positive, he is completely useless and stave is actually quite decent

I want to agree with you mike, i just can't. just can't see this badger team beating anybody good. I think its a 2 td game early. Wisky needs to work on all areas of the game, o-line, qb, running game, defense, secondary, special teams.

Marquette has a club football team that plays D3.

they play some division 1 and division 3 "club" teams (miami of ohio, uw-platteville) but they don't play actual division 3 football teams

they used to have a football team, and never got the $100 million donation they wanted for a football stadium when other big east teams like rutgers, uconn, etc had a revival

to be division 1 football you have to build a football stadium with at least 30,000 seats and for small schools like marquette (only 8000 undergrads) that's pretty tough to fill

one thing people don't realize is "why" wisconsin has such a good football program. in-state talent doesn't have many choices, wisconsin is the only division 1 football school in a state of 5 million people and there are no division 2 schools.
that's also the main reason uw-whitewater is such a division 3 powerhouse, they just had their 46 game winning streak snapped and are back-back-back champs

but who did they lose to? with a terrible qb o'brien (who's now benched), the only loss was AT OREGON ST which doesn't look so bad now with oregon st ranked
