Just watched Belmnont Race 1 today and 4 horses fell!

Sure it was a steeplechase race, but damn!! One horse fell on the backstretch and the rider was stomped on by at least 2 other horses and he didnt even move for the next 10 seconds that we could see him!


Then 3 more riders fell on the last jump! Damn!

Steeplechase races are my favorite to watch, but damn maybe we really dont need to have horses jumping in close quarters anymore


Now they announced that 5 riders fell. I only saw 4 that I counted out of the 12 that started

Not all that uncommon, it's too cluttered imo... too many injuries...

they couldnt even finish filming "luck" on HBO because horses were falling and dying in simple race scenes. i dont get why they were created with such strong bodies but legs like toothpicks.
