On the main page of Cris, they advertise a "find the mistake" contest, with a reward of a $50 freeplay. I was bored, and I had no trouble finding a mistake on their website - the misspelling of Oktoberfest (or in the alternative, a syntax error, using Octoberfest in the wrong context). After all, any true beer nerd knows that Oktoberfest refers to a season, and Octoberfest refers to a specific type of lager beer. Or you can check Websters.com for an authoritative answer.
Anyways, I pointed this mistake out to them. Their reply didn't make sense:
"We intentionally use the spelling Oktoberfest for marketing purposes.
Mickey"
but, they used the spelling Octoberfest.
Cris is an A book I've used for years. So why the hell would they offer a promotion they have no intention of honoring? My squabble isn't over the $50... it's about the principal of the whole thing, and getting blown off when I'm in the right.
