CRIS "Find the mistake" contest not honored
On the main page of Cris, they advertise a "find the mistake" contest, with a reward of a $50 freeplay. I was bored, and I had no trouble finding a mistake on their website - the misspelling of Oktoberfest (or in the alternative, a syntax error, using Octoberfest in the wrong context). After all, any true beer nerd knows that Oktoberfest refers to a season, and Octoberfest refers to a specific type of lager beer. Or you can check Websters.com for an authoritative answer.

Anyways, I pointed this mistake out to them. Their reply didn't make sense:
"We intentionally use the spelling Oktoberfest for marketing purposes.

    Mickey"

but, they used the spelling Octoberfest.

Cris is an A book I've used for years. So why the hell would they offer a promotion they have no intention of honoring? My squabble isn't over the $50... it's about the principal of the whole thing, and getting blown off when I'm in the right.

Same for me, I was reading the loyalty points and saw an error, but they said it was wrong:

BETpoints are awarded instantly everytime you place a wager. Each time you make a bet you will receive 1 BETpoint for every betting dollar that is wagered. For example, if you make a bet of $110 to win $100, you will receive 100 BETpoints automatically.

Shouldn't it be 110 points then for a $110 wager?

I was really leery of this promotion when I saw it. I just thought it was kind of stupid. Couldn't CRIS have come up with something a little better than this?

I don't know why they just don't pay you guys the $50 and take the promotion down. I wonder how many other guys that they've angered not owning up to the promotion.

I think you could argue they've made a second mistake by not paying .. so thats $100
