08:54 Bad Call Refund at the D: Quick, fish that losing ticket out of the trash. We've just learned that the D is canceling losing tickets and refunding players who bet the Green Bay Packers at their sports book on Monday night. The refund is for bets on the Packers to win by pointspread or money line only (no parlays, teasers, etc.). The bet has to have been made at the D and you have to produce your ticket to get the amount of your wager returned. Tickets on the Seahawks to win are also being paid.

Vegas sports book refunding Packers bets

More than $300 million changed hands worldwide as a result of the one play that concluded the Green Bay-Seattle game. (FOX5 FILE) More than $300 million changed hands worldwide as a result of the one play that concluded the Green Bay-Seattle game. (FOX5 FILE)
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
At least one Las Vegas sports book is offering refunds for those who bet on the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
The D Las Vegas announced Wednesday it would return funds to bettors who placed wagers on the Packers to beat the Seattle Seahawks.
The game was marred by an apparent blown call during the last play of the game. Replays showed Green Bay intercepted the pass in the end zone, but referees ruled it a touchdown for Seattle when receiver Golden Tate appeared to have his arm under the caught interception.
An official's review upheld the TD and Seattle officially claimed its 14-12 victory over Green Bay.
Green Bay was a 4-and-a-half point favorite over the Seahawks and had been leading the game by 5 going into the final play.
The D's owner, Derek Stevens, said the move was made out of sympathy for fans, who have voiced their disapproval of replacement referees.
"If you're up, you're going to press it and if you're down, it's the bailout play and personally, I've been in each situation. I just can't imagine a worse outcome than what occurred Monday night," said Stevens. "I'm so disgusted that we are going to refund every bet made on the Packers at the D. I know exactly how it would feel if I was laying the number and I saw what happened."
The D said refunds on all straight bets and all money line Packer bets can be claimed at the cashier's cage at the downtown Las Vegas casino on or before Sunday, Sept. 30.
A valid ticket must be presented at the cage and only bets made at the D Las Vegas will be refunded, the property said.
The fallout from the blown call has resulted in $300 million changing hands worldwide.
There were no other Las Vegas-area bookers announcing refunds for the game. At least one online gambling site said it would return bettors half their money if they bet on the Packers game.

#17I spent several hours there while I was in Vegas for the Bash. The property has a progressive marketing style. The female table games dealers also dance as go-go girls in the pit area. The music is nice and loud. Plenty of televisions in that area for sports viewing. My inner anti-social gambler truly felt at home there. The down side was the table game rules were not that player friendly. Still I signed up for a players card and would consider staying there if and when I visit Vegas again. Its located near the outdoor stage in the downtown area.Comment -

#18Las Vegas Casino Refunding Bets On Seattle-Greenbay Game
Didn't notice it posted, but I could just be lazy..
Not a strip casino.. but
In an unusual move, a Las Vegas casino is offering refunds to gamblers who lost money on the Seahawks controversial 14-12 win over the Packers on Monday.Yes, you read that right, a casino is actually offering to return money to bettors.
The owner of The D Las Vegas, Derek Steven, told the Associated Press that the events that transpired in the final moments of the game were unacceptable and that giving people back their money was the right thing to do.
The Seahawks won after some of the league's replacement officials botched a call, giving the Seahawks a touchdown on the final play of a game.
That call prompted a nationwide outcry over the competence of the replacement officials.
Steven said the casino will refund straight and money-line bets made at the downtown Las Vegas sports book through Sunday.
