This rule needs some serious consideration as it WILL be abused...

"You may cancel a pick so long as you quote the post with the pick and it is before game-time. You may also request cancellation by PM but please do so in thread."

Plain and simple...if the units are tied after 8 plays and your opponent makes one or two additional for datime games and you make 1-2 for nighttime...would you cancel your plays if he lost one or two of his wagers??

of course. that is why I think in all rounds there should be a set amount of plays no more no less. Puts the emphasis on handicapping instead of strategy. 8 picks not 8-10

I don't understand why people are allowed to cancel wagers in the first place. Why not make picks final and be done with the wriggling?

Yes, you could wait for an outcome on your opponent's pick and then cancel a wager if that suited your purpose. And canceling wagers by pm so that the other party is unaware of it, is also questionable.

I don't really care either way on the cancelling plays issue, but I like seeing it more of a strategy contest and less of a capping crapshoot.

all these contests require strategy due to there plus/minus one unit nature...have never bet that way in my life...

well I let mycase be known...we'll definetely see it tested out.

No reason to cancel games.. if you pick it you play it.

I'm not in the contest, but you can cancel plays? For what reason? That is absurd. The only way you should be able to cancel a play is by betting the other side, eating the juice, and losing your picks. That is a ridiculous rule.

I told you numbnuts when this rule was created a couple days ago that it would open a can of worms.

DO NOT EVER CHANGE RULES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONTEST!
