    Investing advice needed
Serious replies only please. What is the best way to sell short US stocks for the long term?

What is the maximum duration of put options usually. Or if I sell an individual stock short, how long do I get it for before I have to buy it back?

Are there any better ways to go short on the entire domestic market for 3-4 years? I need Obama's economic policies to be fully implemented, for me to reap the rewards.

An easy opportunity like this to make money might come around once in a lifetime, and I don't want to miss it.

Buy SDS. It is an ETF that gives twice the inverse performance of the S&P 500.

What do SDS and ETF stand for, and how would I find more info about it?

        here's its yahoo profile

SDS is its ticker symbol on Amex. You can buy it just like any stock or whatever in you brokerage account. ETF is Exchange Traded Fund. Basically like a mutual fund but it just trades like a stock on an exchange. The name of this one is UltraShort S&P 500 ProShares.

If you prefer to short a narrow or wider range of stocks there are bear ETFs for Dow 30, Nasdaq, etc.
