Actually, Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) is a brilliant man and one that, had he been the Republican candidate, he would have secured my vote. I am hoping that Obama nominates the Senator for a position in his Cabinet, such as Secretary of State or National Security Advisor.

#37America needs more than two parties (which keep up the appearance of choice by playing good cop/bad cop; while in reality being paid for by the same special interests). More than two parties will force more people to actually think about the issues, instead of being played like idiots by politicians who merely need to divide the public along party lines to ensure themselves of millions of blindly cast votes.Comment -

#39Right, which is why the Republican electorate are the dipshits here, not Bush, not McCain, the idiots who nominate garbage are the culprits, not incompetents like Bush.Originally posted by MonkeyF0ckerActually, Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) is a brilliant man and one that, had he been the Republican candidate, he would have secured my vote. #40Obama will be a 1 termer, once the lower class realize that they wont be getting an extra check in the mail every month his reign will be over.
I hope the best for Obama to better this country but it aint gonna happen. Too many empty promises blurted out to gain the lower class vote. Maybe he can get the country on the right track but odds are against him. He talked a good game but can he back it up?
theres a saying in the south that will be the cries of his supporters in 4 yrs.

Same could have been said about Colin Powell and he is highly respected by all parties.

It took until early in Clinton's 2nd term to un**** 12 years of Reagan/Bush 250 billion per year debt increase. So will 8 years of Bush be fixed in 4 years? Probably not, but you underestimate America's America's memory.
The right needs to quit worrying about the left, Obama, etc and fix themselves, they are so far out of touch with AMerica that they will keep losing until they come back. If this was such a black drive, explain 7 of 11 governor seats going to Dems, the House taking 20-30 Dems seats and the Senate taking about what looks like 7 or 8 Dem seats. This was not an, "I'm black and so is Obama, he gets my vote regardless" drive, this was a, "Bush and the neo-cons are so ****ed up that I want ALL Republicans out, NOW" situation.Comment -

#43It was not the minorities that put Obama in the white house, and, if you think about it, the republicans made a major contribution with the way they have lead the country in the last eight years. They have done such a bad job that they have dragged the whole world with them, people are fed up and it was the masses with real decision making power that elected Obama, how long will it last? We’ll see; I believe it will not be more than four years before a republican sets foot in the white house again as a president.Originally posted by jjgoldWay to many minorities pouring into USA and Dem party getting them in the booths.

#47I'm just so happy for that lady I saw at the election party..."I don't have to worry about paying my mortgage anymore, I don't have to worry about paying for gas anymore!..." There are a lot of disillusioned people out there who are going to be very disappointed. The truth of the matter is with control of the house, senate, and Obama in the White House, the left will have nobody to blame when their out of control spending and over taxing gets them in hot water. They will immediately spend and tax more, then can't help themselves! The notion that they will balance the budget is ludicrous and an outright lie. The midterm elections will see the Republicans gain at least one of the two houses of congress. What the Republican party must do is get back to the core beliefs of smaller government, less taxes, lower spending, and stop pandering to the fringes. One more thing, stop putting 90 year olds up for nomination!"You don't have a gambling problem...you have a LOSING problem!"Comment -

Potsie, put down the bong, that tax/spemd BS was rhetoric from the right to fool naive people like you.

Why not, Clinton did? Obama is doing a lot of things that Clinton did.

With historical knowledge that you posess, I think I'll forego your brilliant prognostications.

IOW's, go back to Eisenhower days, because since 1980 all they've had is garbage. Agreed, if they shut down the Military Industrial Complex, they wouldn;t be in this mess, but they can'thelp themselves, they'll be teh same cut-tax-n-overspenders they have been for 28 years and they will be watching politics from the lonely side of the isle.Comment -
