I wouldn't have picked up the 24+ million dollar options on these players either.

Giambi as a DH will be a + for any team in the AL.

Giambi is horrible, slow, bat speed slowing down and basically hrs or makes an out

Get young guys that are cheap because that is what wins now in mlb bases

I heard they were trying to move Matsui. He's gotta go to.

I'm not to knowledgeable about the Yanks farm system, from what they say in the media they have a lot of talent down there. They should just bring heads up.

The Diamondbacks / Tampa model of youth is how it should be done.

With a new stadium next year they are going to want to spend some money though, they need just stay away from the dinosaurs though....

Sure as shit ain't in the starting pitching if Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy are anything to go by.

Matsui was their best hitter, why would they want to move him...

Is that because they need to meet some kind of DL quota for the 2009 season.

Need to get rid of some more, Pettitte, Damon, Matsui, Jeter(position change), Posada(position change), Ponson. Their farm system is alright. The trade with the Pirates and the failures of Kennedy and Hughes have brought the system down some.
