After tomorrow, Sarah Palin will have plenty of time to gaze at Russia

I don't think she is going to stay in Alaska for very long. She'll be working on a run for the GOP nomination in 2012.

I really don't think she has a snowball's chance in hell of becoming President. Her nomination is one of the reasons Obama wins big tomorrow. She doesn't belong on this stage, not now, not ever. If she's the best the Republicans can come up with, they have some serious problems.

why exactly does she nto belong on this stage? In my opinion it was a smart choice by Republicans to choose a woman for Vice Presidential nominee.

Simply being a woman qualifies you to be President?
Here are a few reasons:
1. Intelligence. She attended four small colleges before finally graduating in six years. By her interviews alone, it is obvious that the woman is not a critical thinker.
2. Neocon agenda. If the Republicans have any hope of recapturing the White House in the future, they are going to need to come more to the center, not to the extreme right.
3. Mistakes. After all of the mistakes she has made on the campaign trail in this election, she won't be able to live them down. Much like Dan Quayle, she will become a running joke for years to come.

Wow alright so have a few questions for you.
1. Intelligence. So is it a negative that she attended four small colleges, that she graduated in six years, or both?
I give anybody credit for graduating college as its alot of hard work and not alot of people complete it. Often in community colleges, 80% of people that start, do not finish a 2 year degree. So who cares if it takes another year or two to finish. She completed it.
2. Neocon agenda. Are you saying Sarah Palin has a neocon agenda or Republicans in general?
3.Mistakes. That is a pretty weak argument in my opinion about a candidate making mistakes on the campaign trail. Almost every Presidential candidate has foul-ups and mishaps.
As far as not being able to live her mistakes down, that goes for many candidates through election campaigns.

1. I hope you are kidding. You are talking about a candidate for President. FYI, most Presidents come from Ivy League schools, not barely graduating from several community colleges and the University of Idaho.
2. I am talking about both. She is a Neocon and the Republicans are not going to win elections in this country any more by fear-mongering.
3. Why didn't Dan Quayle ever come close to the Republican nomination then? It is one thing to be a Vice Presidential candidate. It is entirely another to be the Presidential candidate. Many will look back at this election and wonder what McCain could have possibly been thinking. McCain probably will himself...
She is though the first women to run as vice-president that I would like to nail.

Too many people think Palin is incompetent and she blew it on her 1st impressions when she didn't have a clue during the Katie Couric and Charles Gibson interviews. Plus her winks and charm aren't going to play as well when she's 4 years older. Republicans won't make the same mistake twice as they ran the worst campaign ever.

I kind of understand McCain's hail-Mary of making Palin his running mate. He was desperate. It was a horribly cynical thing to put trying to win the election over what's best for the country, but that is par for the course.
But she would be such an absolutely horrible choice for some-day President. She is incompetent. She is dim. She is toxic. She deserves to be a punch-line for as long as people have memories.
But this is a country that elected Dubya to a second term. The idea of Palin is not so far-fetched.
Hard to decide if it's hilarious or terrifying.

She may run for House or Senate in 10, if a senate seat is comming up then. Steven's seat is up this cycle and if he wins, then goes to jail or resigns, she may appoint herself to that seat then run 2012. But yea, she isn't gonna stay there.

2 seperate questions; 1 is she personally, 2 is a woman.
Yes to woman, no to her. The GOP can't just grab any woman as they did, they needed to deliberate more. Deal is that they wanted a distraction from Mccain, so they chose an incompetent pretty face.

To get a BA in Journalism..... a super easy degree.

Even if they were extreme conservatives and lost the neo-con garbage, they would have a chance. Extreme conservatism is honest and not hypocritical, even tho I don't like it, at least it's honest. True conservatives would have run LArry Craig out and let Scooter Libby go to jail, etc, not commute the latter, ignore Larry Craigs moral gaff and oh yea, as Reagan did, pardon Steinbrenner for tax evasion. If conservatives lost this, good for us, not for you shit, they would come into power again. As of now they're just hypocrites.

It shows instability. An what was she doing between college hops? She was participating in beauty contests and not even doing that well - 3rd in Ms. Alaska. It's an easy degree, college hoppers are not focused.

For someone who can be a heartbeat away from the highest position in the land? Most people in that position are highly educated or have military experience, etc. She really isn't the fit for that position.

Modern-day Republicans are neo-cons for the most part. Conventional conservatives don't pardon criminals, allow homosexuality if it's within their own, etc. They run a tight ship and are above board, but after Eisenhower this concept has fallen apart.

Just watch how fast the GOP runs from her on Wednesday. And they will turn on McCain as well. She won't be a serious candidate in 2012. Maybe she runs for the Senate down the road. That would be her best chance to stay on the national stage.
