and a pitcher named CEDA sp? was the 4th.

give Peavy some run support he might win 26 games....although he wouldn't have the safe confines of petco to help anymore either..

The Cubs have no one to trade. Their farm is shit and really the only interesting guy they have to trade is Rich Hill. Marshall and Pie won't turn into anything, IMO.

If the Padres do this they are selling themselves very short. I would trade him for one of the Braves OF prospects and one of their young arms.

Dempster is a free agent, I doubt he will be back.
If the cubs got Jake, then they would definately use the money saved by not signing Dempster towards paying Peavy's contract.

Pads will entertain offers all year, but they pretty much are making a salary dump..other gm's know that and will low ball them.

I was thinking they would re-sign Dempster; Piniella seems to like him.

Not sure how much weight to give any rumor like this one, don't really trust the media to run with anything concrete and instead just try and throw something against the wall to see if they can stir up interest across the internet. There was another site (will try to find link) the last few days that mentioned the Yankees had apparently asked the Astros about both Oswalt and Berkman. Lot of teams asking others about players right now, but there's nothing to so many of the stories.

NL is worst than AL , but if who play very good in AL , in NL - the same player is a God for new team [Sabathia , maybe Santana].

Not really.

Sabathia and Santana were great players in the AL, and are great players in the NL.
