Caesars Sportsbook no longer available via desktop/laptop
I logged into my Caesars account today, May 1st and noticed that the Sportsbook link was missing. After speaking to the online chat person who was beyond useless and should be fired, they told me that Caesars made a business decision to remove the ability to access the sportsbook via laptop/desktop as of today.

What kind of nonsense is that? You can go to Sportsbook.Caesars.com and see your Sports promos but you cannot access them or place wagers. You must use a mobile device to place bets from now on.

Guess MGM and DK are going to get more of my business moving forward.

Yes they permanently closed their desktop sportsbook website. I think they said it was taking place at the start of April.

But this is Big f*** you to everyone who prefers desktop I guess.

So I just dropped by SBR to see if there was anything about this, as I too quickly noticed earlier this month that the sportsbook was suddenly missing from Caesars desktop site. Now that the above posters have clarified that this was a conscious decision, all I can say is:

Wow. I am blown the f*** away.

Especially coming from one of the "big four" (DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars, BetMGM). I can not make sense of this. Like this is legitimately bizarre. I never thought I would see something crazier than Bet365 prohibiting users from placing wagers over ethernet connection.

Now this takes the cake. For sure. It's one of those things that has no apparent rationalization for being so, and yet it is - but why?

Just asked and was told it was due to "regulations". I asked for the regulation and section. They said maybe Ontario regulation but it may have been a Caesars decision.

I don't know when this was implemented, but tonight on my desktop PC I randomly clicked on the old bookmark in my browser for Caesars' website... and was blown away to see that they brought their sportsbook back to desktop - at least for Ontario.

The dawn of a new era is upon us.

I can't see any more official announcement than this twitter reply but it looks like it just happened yesterday https://x.com/FightAlchemy/status/2027264610399641930
