First off I will not be biased during this write up as a bgsu fan. (Maybe a little)

The MAC has had a great year by producing 6 bowl eligible teams already and have 4 (8-1) teams and has made the big east their bitch this year by beating undefeated ranked cinnci(#21) and Rutgers(#18).

This is a huge game for the MAC east because the top 3 teams:
1)Kent State 8-1 (5-0 MAC)
2)Bowling Green 6-3 (4-1 MAC)
3)Ohio 8-1 (4-1 MAC)

Ohios has played 3 games in about 12 days... while BG had a bye last week and has a lot more time to prepare.

Ohio

Ohio is 8-1 and the only decent team that they have beaten was penn state.. Ohio was undefeated up until playing Miami of Ohio. Ohio has a great offense, i agree their junior quarterback has been impressive all year. But there are some factors that cannot be overlooked, like who Ohio has played in the MAC this year and how much trouble they have had beating bad teams.

Ohio has played 5 MAC teams
1) Ohio 37 Umass 34: Umass has been god aweful all year by finally coming up to play in the FBS. They are 0-8. Umass has gotten killed by every opponent it has played except Ohio, and they almost got their first win against ohio. BGSU shut out UMass 24-0.

2) Ohio 38 Buffalo 31: Buffalo was another close game, buffalo is 2-7 for the year. Buffalo has played some of the better MAC teams this year, but its lone win has come to Miami (Ohio). Which we will talk more about later.

3) Ohio 34 Akron 28: Take a guess what akrons record is... If you said akron is 1-9 you are right. Another close game to a team ohio should have killed. BGSU played akron and beat them 24-10 this year, BGSU had complete possession of the game.

4)Ohio 20 Miami(OH) 23: Finally a semi decent team that ohio played in the MAC. Unfortunately ohio should of tied this game in the 4th quarter but they got sacked trying to get a touchdown with 10 seconds left. Miami(OH) is 4-5. Keep in mind BGSU beat Miami(OH) 37-12.

The problem with ohio is 2 things. They have played no good MAC teams, and they havent shut out or really beaten any MAC team by a lot.

Now Ohio is playing one of the best teams in the MAC east behind Kent State....

Bowling Green

Bowling green does have 3 loses this year that all came within the month of september. But lets look at who they lost too.

1) Florida- Bowling green put everything into this game and actually should of won. If it wasnt for 2 easy missed chip shots this game would of been completely different. Special teams blew this game and you can even ask florida fans if they think they shouldn't of deserved to win this game and were outplayed. We did give florida a good scare though.

2) Toledo- Toledo was just ranked #25 in the country until a recent lost yesterday. This game was at Toledo which is BGSU's biggest rival in the battle for I-75. Toledo outplayed us. We deserved the lost

3) Virginia Tech- At this time Virginia Tech was ranked a week before and got embaressed and upset by Pitt. Angered, Virginia Tech had a sold out stadium against BG and completely shut us out. BG put in its back up freshman quarterback at half and consistently went for 4th and long inside their own 50...

Since then BG has been on a 5 game win streak and is 6-3. Their defense is now ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Again i understand BG defense stats are inflated by weak opponents, but the MAC is a very offensive division. The last touchdown they let up was mid October. Bowling Green has given up only 33 points in its last 5 games...

How BG will win:

-Senior DT Chris Jones is tied for first in the nation with 11 1/2 sacks, he is an animal and their has been a lot of NFL scouts interested in him.

-Bowling Greens Defence #9 nationally

-Bowling greens running game

-BG's quarterback has been not too good this year... But he is still a playmaker and needs to throw the ball, last year he was 245-of-412 passes for 3,024 yards and 28 touchdowns...

In all im taking BGSU +2 (10 units)
