    OT - 7/24/2006 Puzzle
The answer to the last puzzle was "20870305". (Explanation) I guess that one was a bit harder than I had anticipated as even after five days the only two solvers were dvorak51 on 7/20/2006 at 02:56:28 and isetcap on 7/20/2006 at 03:42:17. Good jobs, Kids.

      Last puzzle explanation:

Each number in the list represents a date in the format YYYYMMDD. Each date is indexed by an ordinal ranking (which just happens to be a letter) and corresponds to an Ash Wednesday (occurring 6½ weeks prior to Easter Sunday, hence the "6½ weeks of ... Hare Growth" in the title).

The year of each date is a prime number (hence the usage of the word "Choice" in the puzzle title, a synonym for "Prime" used in a different context.)

Since, the first prime year listed is 1,889, corresponding to ordinal 'A', the next prime would be 1,901 (the 2nd or Bth prime), then 1,907 (the 3rd or Cth prime), etc. The 26th or Zth prime is 2,087. Since in 2087 Ash Wednesday will fall on March 5th, the answer to the puzzle is 20870305. (03/05/2087)

This was probably the hardest puzzle yet. Congrats once again to dvorak and isetcap for figuring it out.
