Ravens +1 against the Eagles!!!! What the Hell am I missing??

Soooo can someone please explain to me how the spread for the Eagle vs. Ravens game is Ravens +1?!

Eagles looked like absolute GARBAGE playing the BROWNS. Vick looked awful, and with a Defense like the Browns, how the hell do you think Vick will fair against the Ravens D?

Can someone please explain to me how this spead is 1 pt. I'm about to seriously pound the hell out of this game, but I want to make sure I'm not over looking anything...... Almost seems like the books want you to pound the Ravens, go off of last weeks game, and somehow Eagles are gonna pull this one out. How I have NO IDEA

    Cheers!

They say each year the Ravens come out sluggish after the season opener. That's what they say. We'll see Sunday.GL

Oddsmakers Say Ravens Underdogs To Eagles

              Posted Sep 12, 2012

Despite an impressive season opener, the Ravens are still the underdogs this weekend.

The Ravens opened the season with a commanding 44-13 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.
The Eagles barely squeaked by the Cleveland Browns, needing a late touchdown to get the 17-16 win in Cleveland.
It would appear that the Ravens have the edge heading into their Week 2 showdown in Philadelphia.
              But the oddsmakers don’t agree.
The Eagles are between one and three point favorites, depending on the website or casino. But coming into the game as underdogs doesn’t seem to bother the Ravens.
"Maybe we’ll use it as extra motivation, but it doesn’t really matter,” tight end Ed Dickson said. "If we were the underdog by 20 or if we were picked to win by 20, you still have to play the game. We have such great veteran leadership that it really doesn’t matter if we’re favored or not favored. I believe our guys will be ready to play when the time comes this week.”
"I don’t even care,” wide receiver Jacoby Jones added. "We control the outcome, no matter what.”
Sunday’s game will be the home opener for the Eagles, which likely played into the point spread. Lincoln Financial Field is also known as a difficult place to play, and there should be a loud atmosphere as the Eagles look to rebound from last week’s disappointing start.
Regardless of the factors that played into the Eagles being the favorites, Jones said the team has to put all of that to the side.
"We’re going to go out and do our job, whether we’re favorites or not,” he said. "Whoever your pick is fine"

If those two receivers don't play, this is no brainer. But let's assume they both play because they probably will.

If the same two teams from week 1 show up, the Ravens will win this game by 80, but obviously each week is different. I wanted to put together a high quality write up here breaking down the game, but there are just too many questions marks so early in the season. We are all just guessing at this point. Personally I have zero faith in Vick, but we all know the Eagles can put together big plays from time to time.

The Ravens aren't going to march down the Eagles throat. They should be good for 20-27 points. What is the Eagles offense capable of? I have no idea. They moved the ball at will last week, but then turned it over five times. The Ravens defense isn't invincible and their is no reason to believe the Eagles can't score 20 - 27 as well.

When this line came out I was certain I would be betting it very large. In the meantime the entire world is on Baltimore and the line is not budging. It's been Eagles +1 (+118) at pinnacle since Monday morning. This game is way too risky and will likely be decided by a few big plays/turnovers.

not just season opener but pretty much every time they look like world beaters at home they go on road and struggle against teams much less talented than phi, curious to see how this "new look" offense holds up against a good pass rush..thing about this new approach balty taking to offense is that sure it pretty when clicking but if they struggle that gonna force a aging d to be on the field for quite a while... should be interesting but i dont bet bal on road after spanking a conf foe, that just me..

PASS. Ravens no more than a 50% team on the Road vs NFC. they could get caught in the look ahead for next week @ Home vs Patriots. wouldnt mind if they lost this one so i may get extra value on the Ravens revenge ticket vs Patriots. no doubt the line is influenced by the volume of Eagles fans that like to bet theyre team.

i don't see much there. with Harbaugh they are 2-2 SUATS in week 2 and 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS in first Road game.

Ravens are 9-2-1 ATS on the Road vs Division and 9-10-1 ATS on the Road vs Non-Division. motivation just aint the same.
