Frankly I think that the Jags have a chance to finish with the worst record in the AFC, but this is a rare winnable game for them. Vikes have their own problems and Gerhart doesn't have the breakaway speed that AP has, so Jax defense can focus on the pass, and pass defense is probably the best part of the whole team (well....besides MJD). Ponder struggled reading coverages last year, so yeah Jags have a chance to win. I just like +4 better because Jax offense scares me, although Gabbert was surprisingly good in preseason. Neither stud RB on each team will be a factor, so that washes out.

I wouldn't put a cent on this game. Two bottom-feeder teams going head to head, nobody knows how much AP or MJD will play. Pass.

The Jags have the best kicker in the NFL. they will also have an explosive
offense with Justin Blackmon, MJD, and Laurent Robinson.

This with what LT had to say I can see JAX wit the edge to win SU. But keeping the +4 sounds good.

It's a big number when you consider Ronnie Brown is the Chargers starting running back and their receiving corps isn't as good with VJax gone, while the Raiders will probably use McFadden a lot, which eats clock, and I still don't think Palmer has the arm he had before his injuries, although others disagree.

Yeah I agree with Palmer not being his old self, I just get scared with Ronnie Browns ability to catch out of the backfield. Could set up a lot of drives for the Chargers. The Raiders love to eat clock, but if San Diego scores early, they might keep attacking. The run game won't be available to the Raiders if they go down early. Think I'm gonna take San Diego -1, although I'm not really sold on them at all. I think Rivers is a lot better than Palmer, and I really like the check down possibilities for Rivers.

Rivers INT troubles from last year continued in preseason FWIW, and using Brown in the passing game has the same effect as running the ball...time consuming drives.

Yeah I know Rivers throws interceptions, but so will Palmer. I trust Philips a lot more than Palmer. Most likely gonna stick with Jacks +4, Chiefs +3, S.D. -1, and Tennessee +6.5
