Week 1 ATL vs KC

I've only bet on NBA, MLB, and WNBA before, never NFL. I watch probably 8 games a week though.

Can someone explain why ATL is only 1.5 point favorite over KC? Does home field advantage count that much towards the line? Bc from what I've seen in preseason and last year, ATL is better than KC.

Probably a combination of Atlanta struggling on the road and KC being 6-0 the last 2 years as a home dog (winning 5 SU)

Atlanta is the better team but they struggle on the road. Like Husker said KC seems to show up as home dogs.

Atlanta seems like a real square play for week 1. Arrowhead will be rockin for their season opener. And I know KC wwill want to play better after getting blown out in their season opener at home against Buffalo last year.

the line is low bc of everything that was mentioned above. atlanta is a better team than kc but below avg on the road, arrowhead stadium is one of the larger ones in the nfl and its a home opener. vegas obv thinks this is a coin flip that can go either way at some point during the game. the final score may be well out of the spread range but the moment of outcome or critical point in that case will probably be determined well before the game is over

KC always looks like dirt in preseason. Doesn't mean much. Atlanta backers keep betting,need to get this thing to 2.5.

The beauty of week 1 is we really don't know which team will be good and which team will flop but the perception is the Falcons are the better team.

Matt Ryan was plagued by a weak offensive line last year. If that continues this year, Matt Ryan won't get a lot accomplished versus KC's defensive line.

Chief's are banged up on D no Flowers, no Hali(suspension), and Kendrick Lewis..ATL may be square but seems to be the right side.

Call me a square and give me the way better team all day. Chefs have no offense and defense will get rocked for 30+ at least 4-5 times this season. KC has trouble beating winning teams the last couple years because they just are not that good. This could have 20+ blowout written all over it!

stick to those sports. Chiefs one of the best home teams in the league and Atlanta started very slow last year and they are a dome team and don't travel well. Also Chiefs defense is pretty good. Under is the play here.

Its because its an away game but keep in mind Tamba Hali will be suspended for KC..he is huge part of their def pass rush and if there isn't pressure on matty ice..ATL will be all over them..Expect an ATL win

yes cause we all know watching preseason is great way to have a good read on teams...kc tough place to play, kc wil be able to run on atl, kc plays very good d, hard to run no huddle in a stadium where you cant hear yourself think..but im sure it just easy money for you..
