Indianapolis @ Tennessee -4
Where do I start?
Well let's look over the stats of these teams.
Indianapolis Colts
3-3 SU and ATS
29th. in the league in rushing defense allowing 153.5 ypg (Bob Sanders is not playing tonight)
Last in the league in rushing offense with 70 ypg (Addai is out)
Indianapolis is 2-5 ATS on the road againts division rivals, and 4-9 ATS on the road on Monday night games.
Tennessee Titans
6-6 SU and ATS
10th. in the league in rushing defense allowing 89.5 ypg
3rd. in the league in rushing offense with 154.5 ypg (LenDale White and Chris Johnson combined for 332 yds. and 4 TD's last week in KC) I know Kansas City is last in the league in rushing D, but Indi is just 3 spots back at 29th.
Tennessee has always played Indy tough. They are 2-2 in the last 4 and that's when Indy was one of the premier teams in the league and Tennessee was trying to find their groove with a young QB.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Expect Manning to be on his butt a lot tonight, wether he is getting sacked or just sitting in the sideline watching the Titans run the ball like crazy and chewing up the clock.
It is going to be really hard for Manning to get rolling tonight.
Indy can't run the ball and will have to become one-dimensional. Tennessee is 4th. in the league in passing defense allowing 179 ypg.
Indy is 2nd. in the league in passing defense allowing only 175.5 ypg. That is because nobody needs to throw to beat the colts. The Texans, the Chiefs, and the Colts are the only NFL teams that average less than 28 pass attempts against them per game. And that of course plays perfectly for the Titans that only require Kerry Collins to manage the game, hand off the ball, and make a few throws here and there. That has been enough for the Titans to be 6-0 so far this season.
So why is this line so low? Well whenever things don't add up you have to consider a trap game. And so far everything points at Tennessee being at least a TD favorite. But the public refuses to believe Indy is done. And a Monday night game against the divison leader and only remaining undefeated team should be the perfect scenario for Indy to make a statement. Problem is, the only statement made tonight will be that Indy is in real trouble and Tennessee keeps rolling strong to prepare for Green Bay next week.
I expect at least 200 yards in the ground for Tennessee tonight.
I expect at least one turnover by Manning tonight.
I expect the time of posetion battle going to Tennesee at around 35:00 to 25:00
I expect a solid win and cover by Tennessee. Double digit margin of victory highly probable.
