    Reverse Line Movement Week 8
Hey all so I thought I would continue Robust's line movement discussion. Last week the Raiders were able to pull through and win the game outright over the Jets which was one of the more discussed line movement games from Week 7.

So for Week 8 this is what I have seen in line movement that has been interesting.

Raiders (+7) at Ravens 1pm eastern time. Ravens are getting about 75% of the action yet the line moved in their favor to -6.5 for a while and then went back to 7. West coast teams traveling to the west coast are known for struggling in early games, but it looks like the sharps like the raiders.

Cardinals (+4) at Panthers 1pm eastern time. Panthers are getting about 65% of the action yet the line moved from -4.5 to the current -4. Many good cappers I know like the Cardinals here and they are another west coast team playing an east coast team early so again I do not fully understand what is going on here.

Those were the two games that most jumped out to me as sharp money being on these games. Any other games you guys see?

just a quick scan and found these two..

    2008-10-26 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 38.5 39.0 61% 98% 83%
    13:00 EST NEW YORK JETS -11.5 -13.0 39% 2% 17%

    2008-10-26 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 40.5 40.5 91% off 85%
    13:00 EST DALLAS COWBOYS -1 -1.5 9% 15%

these lines tell me to go with jets/dallas to win.. at -13, i would take KC to cover..

the raiders on my book are still +7. you might wanna confirm.. maybe it shifted back?

The Cardinals are a play, but the Oakland line does not qualify.

I see 80% of the bets on the Ravens and the line has moved from -7 to -9 now.

Yea I didnt update this thread but intially it did look like a play but it is defiantly no longer a play. That Raiders/Ravens game isweird. You can still get it at -7 at a lot of books

You'd think reverse line movement were the gambling equivalent of cold fusion from reading this post. I know that I'm getting more and more cynical but based on your explanation of the Cards/Panthers game, I'd advise you to take all of your money out of sportsbooks immediately. I'm not even kidding.

Haha I am not betting that game either, so don't worry I am not a complete idiot. Defiantly going to be observing the results though.

I am however playing Miami which is RLM, and the Jets (which has moved quite a bit so I am glad I got it early )
