Here are some picks I'm looking at this week:
NY Jets -13 (Chiefs)
Ravens -7 (Raiders)
Saints +3 (Chargers)
Redskins -9 (Lions)
Titans -4 (Colts)
I will be looking at the Saints offense when Bush isn't in the game to see if that play is good.
I still don't have respect for the Jets, so -13 is a huge line to cover even if it's against a horrible offense, the Chiefs.
Titans -4? are they serious? This has to be the best line of the year. People will argue that Peyton is looking better and they play each other tough. Guess what? the Colts aren't even close to being as good as the Titans this year, and the line at -4 is saying just that, that they are equal. Titans run the ball 60% +, and the Colts run defense as everyone knows is one of the worse (ranked 28th). Watch this line hit -7. If you want to be sneaky get points now up to -6.5, and then if it does jump up to -7, maybe bet on the Colts at +6.5. Oh Yeah, The Titans have only allowed 1 receiving TD after 6 games, while picking off 10.
My 2nd best pick, is the Ravens -7. The Ravens have an amazing run D right now (rank 1). They allow only 67.2 running yards a game (2.8avg a run). The Raiders are a running team and their #1 and #2 aren't 100% healthy, but they will still play. Only way I see the Ravens not covering this is if they try and throw the ball too much leading to interceptions (Raiders have a very fast secondary), or the slim chance that the Raiders just get way too many turnovers go their way, which would give them a good chance of winning it.
