    Romo may play Sunday
ESPN.com reports that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo told coaches on Wednesday that he is able to play in this Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Romo broke his pinkie finger on his throwing hand during last week's overtime loss to the Cardinals and was expected to be out of action for at least a month. However, according to the report, Romo threw the ball on the side of the team's practice on Wednesday, and eyewitnesses said he threw with good velocity and looked confident. Romo, who has started in 30 consecutive games for Dallas, has tossed for 1,689 yards with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions this season. If Romo is unable to play, veteran signal-caller Brad Johnson will start against the Rams.

he won't play. he's having surgery on it, its either miss 4 weeks now or be out later in the season.

This was on the sports wire about four minutes ago:

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was throwing at practice on Thursday. Romo took part in the workout despite a broken pinkie finger that was expected to keep him out of action for at least a month. Romo, who suffered the injury during last Sunday's overtime loss to the Cardinals, said that he wants to play in this week's game against the Rams in St. Louis. Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said Romo threw the ball "pretty well" and that he's not counting him out of Sunday's game.

Since I don't have a horse in the race...I hope Johnson starts. Good luck.

Romo is officially doubtful for the game and I would be pretty surprised to see him play.
