What's wrong with the Packers? My take.
Cullen Jenkins. Out for the season. This is killing the Packers right now. I never knew how important this guy is. I'm learning the hard way. KGB could never stop the run, he still can't. He's a pass rush specialist, and even sketchy at that. Until the Packers can get a legitimate replacement for Cullen Jenkins being out, this defense is going to be thrown around and run over.

GB's secondary is really banged up. Al Harris is out. Rouse, his replacement is out. Atari Bigby is out. I have "some" confidence in the depth GB has at secondary, but losing 3 of their top players certainly shows a dropoff. Even Woodson is playing with injuries including a broken toe. God forbid there should be more injuries. A.J. Hawk is also playing hurt. I am happy with 3rd string corner Trammond Williams stepping in for Harris & Rouse, considering that he's the 3rd guy to go into that spot.

Rodgers is playing ok, but his arm is definitely hurting him. I think he's only about 80% effective with his strained shoulder. You see him hanging his throwing arm like it's made out of lead between plays. GB goes to Seattle then has Indy, then a bye week. Hopefully Rodgers can get to the bye and recover. If this thing lingers all season, the Packers are really in trouble.

I'm a Packers homer and watch every game, sometimes twice on tape. I follow all of the news, watch all preseason games and everything else I can learn about my team. Maybe some of my info will help you guys 'cap the games. I'm laying off the Pack @ Seattle game because both teams are injury riddled, and those are the toughest games to evaluate because often you're evaluating players that typically don't get as much playing time. They could be hidden gems or absolute duds. Only a true scounting expert will really know for sure.

I think the Packer's running game is ok, but teams are kinda cheating up forcing them to pass. My theory is that teams are testing Rodgers. They are forcing the Packers to beat them with Rodgers. Rodgers had success early, but then got injured. Now the strategy also is testing his injured throwing arm. Not only that, but putting pressure on Rodgers could cause further trauma and possible knock him out of the game, which is a payola because Flynn and Brohm are clearly not ready to lead the Packers at QB at this point. So teams are clearly styling their defense to stop the run and force the pass, pressuring Rodgers and this strategy has been successful so far.

Yes they are. Although I do think Rodgers has been good enough this season, and the defense is letting them down. They cannot stop the run, and thus cannot get off the field.

Not sure whats wrong w/the Pack? Besides injuries which everyone has to some extent! They've had piss poor gameplans at times...that Dallas game for one! They kept trying to lineup in I-formation and pound Ryan Grant when they should've been spreading the field and using their receivers! Jennings, Driver, James Jones, and Jordy Nelson should be as good a group of WRs as there is? I think they're 23rd in rushing and if they can't get that going against my Colts next weekend then you have a serious problem! Maybe all the Favre drama really messed up the chemistry? Bigby/Harris being out really hurt that secondary and I guess Thompson didn't find suitable replacements! I think I've seen most of their games and haven't seen AJ Hawk do anything...injured or not he seems overrated to me? My Colts are struggling badly too with injuries and deficient line play...we're last in rushing in the NFL!

Yup. It all keeps coming back to the Cullen Jenkins injury. Unless someone can step up, this will be a long season in Green Bay.
