    MNF Vikings at Saints
I'v just did a quick research on this one so pleas come with some inputs, edit on info....

    Vikings at Saints
MNF at the Dome, there should be an electrifying atmosphere that should favour the Saints.
The Vikings defense should get a rough day against Drew Brees and the NLF no.1 passing offense. The Saints got an avg of 327.2 yds/G while the Vikings are only no.16, giving up 207.5 yds/G.
It might be a good day for Peterson tho as the Saints defense are ranked no.19 in rushing defense, giving up 122.8 yds/G.
The key to win for the Vikings is to get some pressure on Brees, but that might be difficult for them as their ranked 2nd in NFL with 7 sacks in 4 games. The Vikings might have to relye on Peterson and the run game against the Saints who got 10 sacks so far and got the Dome in their back. BUT, if their O-line can hold of the pressure they might exploit the weak Saints secondary.
This should be a close matchup, but I think the Saint take this one at home on MNF.
    Saints -3.0

    Leans: o46.5

Cons: Saints without Brees fav. reciver Shockey

Vikings, they need this game, they can't afford to start out 1-4

Also right now 74% of the public is on the Saints but the line has not moved at all.

the sharp play looks like the Vikings

This is a second Steelers vs Jags game.. Almost went with the wrong side there too. Decided to go with the Steelers 5 min before gametime so..

Not a big lean on the over for me either, but the Saints are bad on defense while great on offense.... When the Steelers and Jags can put up 47, the Vikings and Saints should put up at least 48-50..

              Saints/Vikings Under 7.5 (+110) at betus
              Saints/Vikings under 9.5 (+100) at the greek

The vikings have good eneough defense to slow down Brees. The Vikings are very inconsistent with their passing game. So far in 3 games the vikings have scored only 2 field goals in the first quarter of 4 games. So far in 4 games, the vikings defense has given up only 13 points. THe vikings gave up 10 points to the titans 2 weeks ago. In the other 3 games, the viking allowed one field goal to the Carolina panthers. The saints have only scored 10 points in the first quarter of 4 games. The saints scored one touchdown in the first quarter of their season opener against the bucs. THe vikings like to run the ball and chew up the clock. The vikings do not allow big plays to offenses. In their last game at Tennessee, the vikings only gave 275 yards but gave up 30 points to the Titans. The vikings allowed 10 points in the first quarter.

Both teams have some key injuries on offense. For the saints, out are WRs Colston, Patten and TE Shockey. For the vikings, questionable are WRs Berrian and Rice. Because of injuries to WR's for both teams, the vikings and the saints will try to establish the running.

I am kind of surprised to see differences on 1st quarter totals between 2 sportsbooks. I think betus is setting it lower at 7.5 to keep action away from the under at the first quarter. I think I will take the under 9.5 (+100) at the greek.

Prediction: I predict the score to be 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

not so sure brees will have his usual big game with his best receivers out.
moore and meachem have had a couple good games though

The total is defintely under at the half and the game. Too many injuries at skill positions (Wrs and TEs) for both teams.

read somewhere the vikings want to strike early.
frerotte did complete 25 balls last week
maybe theyll go to the passing game a bit more w/o jackson
pass 1st then pound it with the run
saints have one of the worst defenses

Minnesota will run the football from beginning to the end of the game. They know the saints cannot the stop the run. The vikings will chew up the clock by their time consuming drives. I like the vikings on the following plays and the under.

                            Vikings ML 1st Quarter +125 Vikings +1/2 -130
                            Vikings ML half +125 Vikings +1.5 (-110)
                            Vikings ML game +140 Vikings +3 (-115)

                            Vikings/Saints under 9.5 1st quarter (+105)
                            Vikings/Saints under 23.5 1st half (-105)
                            Vikings/Saints under 46.5 game (-110)
