What do you guys think? Even without Burress, will they squash Seattle with their other weapons or what? This seems like an easy bet to me, and that I should take the NYG without a second guess....

The Giants haven't been very good at home the past couple of years, I don't know about the 7.5 pts.

Actually my first instinct is that Seattle is the obvious play getting at least a touchdown. Funny how hakrjak and I see things so differently this week.

I originally wanted to tease the Giants, but, the Giants have been pretty tame so far this year. They smacked around the Rams, big deal.
I would take pts here. Especially with Plax out.

Seattle doesn't have star receivers; regardless of whom may play this week for them. They can't get out of their own way. I'm not a big fan of laying a lot of points with the Champs at home though. This will be a coming out party for Dominck Hixon, and I can envision the champs blowing Seattle out of this one, but I would proceed with caution. I also suspect Matt Hasselback will be knocked out of the game by halftime, so perhaps that warrants consideration? Gun to my head, I would probably take the points here; but betting against the champs at home = not wise betting decision.

I like the NYG laying the points, teasing it, or even taking the ML. Seattle did terrible in their last road trip east, something about travelling that far. Tease NYG with Buffalo on a 2 team 6 pt teaser.

hakr,
I will say this once, laying wood in the nfl is toxic, TOXIC, the way to win in the nfl is to find value in dogs. Good luck with this bet, but when I see a dog move the line towards them I lay off, because I feel the public finally got one.

Nice post - NYGs historicaly terrible after their bye week. Don't know why that is but it is what it is.

Coming off the bye week and getting Branch and Engram back at practice is a big damn deal for Seattle. Shawn Locklear is back in the lineup, too - another BIG boost. Seattle stinks out East, NYG havn't been so hot at home.
BUT - no Burress is the key factor in the game. I think you have to take away 5-7 points from the Giants total at least right there. Granted, running the ball is everything, Burress is a big reason why it works so damn well. Seattle has little corners... It's going to be easier to cheat 8 into the box to slow down and contain the G-mens running game.
All things considered, I think all the value is on Seattle. Granted, 1 receiver being out normally isn't a big deal - Burress being out is a HUGE deal. I expect a tough/close game - but that's just too many points.

Should be a tight game if Seattle can answer after trailing 7-0

Can't believe Hasselback came back in; I thought his knee was gone. It looked worse than it was apparently. He better be careful.

Plaxico who? Man I'm glad I stayed away from this game; the Champs have some pretty good depth at the WR position.

I got burned in the Cincy game, which made me avoid this game. Seattle stinks coming east, but I wasn't sure how Plaxico being out would effect the Gmen.

I am impressed with their depth. First no Plax; now no Hixon, still no problem. They have many weapons that fly under the radar. As they should be as defending champs; they are the team to beat in the NFL right now.

paralysis by analysis, you guys think too much, the Giants were the only play today and what would have ever made anyone bet a dollar on Seattle on the road this year is a real mystery

Giants suck coming off byes. Something had to give. But damn, Seattle cannot possibly be that bad? I mean I haven't seen a team beaten that bad in a long time.
