Rams fire head coach Scott Linehan

Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting the St. Louis Rams have fired Scott Linehan. This according to two team sources.

Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett is expected to be named interim coach.

Linehan was 11-25 in his third season as Rams coach. The Rams dropped to 0-4 on Sunday by losing to the Buffalo Bills 31-14.

According to Mortenson, Linehan has asked asked for and has received permission to address the team today when it reports for practice according to sources.

An official statement is expected this morning from the team.

Haslett is one of the worst coaches in the league. This clown started Aaron Brooks for how many years never realizing he can't play. The guy fell off the earth once Haslett was fired in NO.

His defense has allowed over 30 points in all 4 games and he's promoted?

That's like firing Bush and putting Cheney in charge.

It was automatic to fire Linehan. He's clearly lost the team. Two weeks ago when Linehan was guaranteeing a victory going into Seattle, that interview he looked like he should be a suicide watch. lol. Haslett hasn't done much for me as a HC, but the team needs any kind of boost it can get.
