How do you not like the Saints? The Redskins suck. Jason Taylor doesn't care about football. If they got owned by the Giants, then I think the Saints should be able to handle them. I assume that you like them cuz they have home field advantage. However, their performance last thursday was absolutely atrocious and shouldn't warrant such a bad spread against such a good team.

I'll take my chances on team with a good defense that can run the ball at home, against a team with a horrid defense on the road.

do you think the Broncos are a good play? With Merriman out and Broncos playing at home.

Yes. Cutler looked very good against a good Raiders defense. If San Diego can't get pressure on Cutler, Denver should win the game.

Not having Merriman is probably a big deal. That is the equivalent of the Bears losing Urlacher.

yes...and also having Brandon Marshall back this game (Denver's #1 receiver) at home, getting points...make this a no brainer. This is a classic "living on past glory pick" in my opinion if people take San Diego.
NO is my top choice for this week. Not sure if I am missing something but I feel the line is completely inappropriate for this game. If I'm right then I'll be cashing in. Decided this was too good to wait for. I was afraid the line would creep up... ...or take off like a rocket. I locked in this one at 0 points. I guess some people snagged 'em at +1
I like TEN vs CIN. Vince Young is out so Collins is in at QB. Forgive me for saying this, but I like them better with Collins at the helm. TEN has a brutal defense and their passing game will be better with Collins throwing the ball.
Double check the injury reports on SEA. My brain is mush right now but I think there is some key injuries that made me pass on this one.
I like the Bills and think they are hot right now, but I still have respect JAC. Perhaps the sentiment is just left over from last year's Cindarella season, but I'm avoiding this one.
Ravens is another one that is too close for me to call. If it wasn't a parlay I might bite, but if one team loses your money is gone.
I will submit some alternatives. Just my opinion. I don't think your choices are bad, but I don't feel solid about them. I would look at (NYG) vs STL, (GB) vs DET, and (PIT) vs CLE in place of your last 3 choices.
- The Giants is the weakest of these 3 picks because the spread is high, but they are facing the Rams. Their mostrous defense should crush STL's offense. NYG's offense is not spectacular but good enough to get it done.
- The Packers look good and Aaron Rodgers looked outstanding under pressure. They have all the weapons from last year's 13 - 3 season, and I think this QB can get it done.
- PIT lit Houston up on Sunday. Houston is a respectable team but PIT is in my top 5 for the entire league. CLE is in the same boat as HOU in my opinion. They are respectable, but I still think PIT is going to roll over them. The Steeler's defense looks like they could eat nails. I was concerned about their offensive line, but Big Ben is so good at making plays on the run that it just doesn't seem to be a factor.
You guys talked about DEN vs SD. I think this is a very interesting prospect, but I was going to watch to see how DEN does against SD before jumping on the bandwagon. I will most likely take DEN in week 4 when they face KC. You make some compelling arguments though, I can see DEN taking this one.
5 team parlay odds are steep. If you can nail it you'll have bragging rights for years to come. I nearly killed my account last year chasing them. I was up to $11,000 when I started chasing parlays. I lost $8,000 and then finally nailed not one, but two parlays in week 8. My account shot up to $18,000
This is the right week to nail a 5 team parlay. (at least using the system I use, which is basically to pick on the weak teams) There will not be another week like this until week 7, and the way things look right now, I think this is the stronger of the two weeks.
There's my input, for what it's worth. I hope it's helpful. Good luck. Hope you nail it.

Thanks a lot. I definitely like titans and saints. I want to throw Denver into it. The reason why i like the Ravens is because of their awesome defense and I think the Jaguar's offense is very overrated. Plus, the new QB looked great in the first game. The only recommendation of yours that I disagree with is the Packers. I still don't trust Rodgers and thought the Packer's offense last year was more of a fluke. Don't get me wrong, they are good. But I can see the Lions upsetting them.
Using your recommendations and my own picks, here is a new parlay:
Titans +1
Saints -1
Seahawks -7
Ravens +4.5
Giants -9.5 (-105)
Broncos +1.5
Steelers -6.5
I'm considering adding Dolphins +7, what do you all think of the cardinals?
$5 to win $467.60

This gets better odds than a lotto ticket and is much more fun.

I just sent you a private message. Although I don't like the disrespectful tone of JimmyDingle, I must agree with his objection.
I would suggest you narrow your list to 3 teams. A 3 team parlay is ballsy, but it's been my experience that 7 teams is suicidal. I don't want to see you get burned.
Good luck.

I wouldn't touch Seattle. The offense is shot. I think Ravens and Giants are a little iffy. Giants should win but might not cover 9.5. I would put the Broncos ML instead of +1.5 and I like the Dolphins as well. Good luck.

no disrespect intended-he asked what we thought-I think this is borderline mentally retarded to start getting involved in these VERY negative bets

A parlay of this magnitude it a crap shoot, better of just straight betting some teams.

It's not retarded when you are risking $1-5 on it. I've never been a fan of the huge spreads, so I will probably replace giants with dolphins. Seahawks should cover since the 49ers blow and they are at home.

49ers vs Hawks
Niner fan but also a betting fan, so it's an (unbiased comment)
Remember it's a divisional game and Seahawks just lost their best receiver last week......and u can't doubt the niners D.
I see the niners winning by 4-7pts.!!

Yeah, but the niners suck. The Seahawks have a lot of other offensive components. Shaun Alexander can run very well.
