When the Patriots won their 3 superbowls they were a Top 5 ranked defense in every one of those seasons. They won those super bowls with a hellish defense and Brady just managing the game with short passes and relying on a good running game (consuming clock).

Here's the thing to remember...the worst NFL coach of ALL TIME....Jim "clueless" Caldwell was the Head Coach...he played the game to lose, and he lost. NO played to win. Tom Coughlin won't fuk around here and he knows when and how to use timeouts and he won't do stupid stuff like go into the locker room at the half with 3 timeouts and 1:50 left on the clock and choose to run out the clock.
