means nothing. none of those lines were this low. -7 vs giants. -7 vs panthers. -7 vs eagles. they were up 10 vs the eagles with a few mins left when philly scored to cover. that game was never close. the cats game was good but adam vinty missed 2 fg's.

The Giants were plus 12 last time they played the Pats in the Superbowl...Of Course the Pats were a huge 14 point Dog against the Rams and won SU...

yeah, and this is their worst team in the super bowl, no defense, and they won 3 super bowls all by just a FG even though Belichick and Brady cheated

I hope not cos I'm going to be on the pats. But I do also have +10 giants as the last leg of a 6 team teaser. I really hope Pats win by anything above 3 and below 10 lol!

That's true. But it seems unreasonable to bet on the Patriots who lost to the Giants twice and yet they are the favorites.

if the line was -3.5 in all those games they still would not have covered

good to know, but meaningless. to small of a sample.

                    from marc lawrence:
Revenge has been a factor in Super Bowl games.

New York upset New England in Foxboro as 9-point underdogs this season, despite being outgained by 77 yards in the contest, thus setting up a ‘double-revenge’ incentive for Tom Brady’s bunch from seeing dreams of a perfect season ruined in a 17-14 loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII.

Interestingly, teams playing with same season loss revenge are 7-5 SU in Super Bowls, including 3-0 the last three games.

Revenge has been a staple for the Patriots especially under the tandem of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. The Dynamic Duo is 43-13 SU and 36-17-3 ATS in games when avenging a loss, including 18-3 SU and 16-4-1 ATS when playing off three or more wins in a row.

In addition, Belichick and Brady have lost five playoff games together. They are 2-0 SU during the postseason in playoff loss revenge games, defeating Denver and Baltimore this campaign

                    Advantage: Patriots.

                      Did Rob Gronkowski practice today?

I dont know about this revenge factor in the super bowls
It will not slow down the Giants pass rush and I dont think it will make the Pats defense better. Brady is 5-6 in the playoffs since belichick stopped cheating and has only 22TDs 16 INTs in the playoffs.

Fading the public is effective most of the time.

When looking at the whole world betting on the Super Bowl, it's 55% Giants, 45% Patriots.

But on this forum, it's 68% Patriots and 31% Giants.
