Saints have not won week 17 game since 2004
The last time the Saints won the week 17 game was in 2004 @ Carolina.

And...the last time they won at home in week 17 was 2003 vs Dallas.

    2010 / vs Tampa / LOST
    2009 / @ Carolina / LOST
    2008 / vs Carolina / LOST
    2007 / vs Chicago / LOST
    2006 / vs Carolina / LOST
    2005 / @ Tampa / LOST

    2004 / @ Carolina / WON
    2003 / vs Dallas / WON

In 2010, Tampa was 9-6 (Road dogs) when they beat the 11-4 Saints in week 17.

In 2009, Carolina was 7-8 (Home dogs) when they beat the 13-2 Saints in week 17.

Odds of them losing again?? Are they due for a win??

As of now, I'm leaning the road dog for next weeks game. Carolina has been putting up big numbers all season, and with the Saints so-so defense I think the Panthers are good to go. Did I mention Cam Newton?

Drew Brees will be looking to pad his stats against this awful Panthers defense. He'll play the majority of the game to set that record even higher. Also, Brady has a shot at beating Marino's and Brees current record so Brees will definitely be playing. Unlike last year when Brees sat out the entire game.

Good point, and I'm sure he will be eager to tack on a few more yards to the record he broke tonight.

Panthers are not an awful team. You dont average 33 points per game by sucking. They have had a lot of bad breaks and suffer from defensive weakness.

You are probably just a little sore because they pounded Atlanta tonight.

I was clearly talking about Drew Brees padding the stats against the AWFUL Panthers defense. You even fukking said it yourself.

Why would Brees play to pad his record? Wouldn't the contrary be more true that he would play less since he already has the record?

First round bye will still be up for grabs until they check he 49ers score at half time, they play St Louis fyi. Take the Saints for the first half.

I like Carolina anyway, with it being the last game of the season, I think the Panthers will be more motivated to win the game or at least play until the buzzer

No, because right now Brady is only 190 points behind Brees right now in passing yards. So if Brees sits this week and Brady will play because the Pats have clinched the number 1 seed yet than Brady after all would hold the All-Time passing record if he puts up over 190 passing yards against the Bills. Its obvious that Brees will play against the Panthers at home this Sunday. My guess is he'll play the majority of the game as well so that Brady won't pass him and so that he can set the passing record that much higher.

Brees can easily throw 350+ yards on that Panthers defense but the Saints might not be so aggressive which the chances of injuries happening.

Because Brady is tailing the record also. I think Brady has 4897 yards. One good game for Brady and Drews record is short lived.

I checked, NO & SF play at the same time, at noon. NO & SF are both still playing for the #2 seed.

Maybe parlay Rams & Saints in case 49ers get upset maybe Saints will play harder to get that #2 seed.

St. Louis can't score anything or the best score they would have around 10-13...San Fran win easy, may not cover.
