You do realize minnesota has the all time longest streak without an interception right?

AP is like 75% andd only had a handful of carries last week. As far as ponder playing solid........... wow. You must not have watched their last couple games.

at detroit- 11/21 115yards 2td/3int plus a fumble lost. Pulled after 3 quarters.
Vs new orleans- 14/31 120 yards 2td/1int. He had 30 yards through 3 quarters and then got some garbage time yards.

But to clarify, ponder is playing solid for a starting rookie qb.... yes the Detroit was an obvious illustration of losing focus and succumbing to the pressures of the NFL, BUT he is still trying to lead the team..

Would i pick them to beat any real playoff contender, NO.. however in this spot its a golden opportunity to take 14pts and cash i think

Agreed about AP over Gerhart in some regard but gerhart can catch the ball and AP can't. So when AP plays they have no screen/dump off threat and the fact that he's already limited running isn't helpful. There's a reason they have thrown to Gerhart more times in the last 2 games than they have to AP all season, he has hands like cinderblocks. I just can't put faith behind Ponder either. Not to write him off by any means for the future but he has played with no heart at all the last 2 weeks. Last week was an absolute joke, he was taking 3 step drops and throwing it out of bounds, literally, he got intentional grounding for it last week without even looking for a receiver. He has a hip pointer injury and is just playing to not be thought of as a pussy by his teamates. He has nothing emotionally invested in these games and the whole vikings team is playing dead. They have the all time nfl streak for games without an interception and they are down to an all practice squad/off the street secondary. As good as drew brees is it was a joke for him last week. He had 1-2 receivers WIDE open every play last week. He had over 400 yards through 3 quarters and didn't even play in the fourth. Grossman is no brees but even he could have thrown for 300+ and 75%+ completions last week and that was in the vikings own house.

it's the nfl and anything can happen, especiallly with game changers like ap, harvin returning kicks, and jared allen still out for blood, but I think there are better choices.
