Top Play: Carolina +6 and ML +210
I really like the Panthers to win this game in Houston. This is a bit of a breather alert for the newly-division champ Texans. Houston has been life and death to win its past three games and at this late point in the season I would think they are ripe for a letdown week. Keep in mind that this team has never even been to the playoffs so for a lot of these players, this is a new feeling.
At 4-9, the Panthers have probably played better than their record indicates but have had trouble finishing off games. Still, they are a young team and I think this is a good spot for them to pick up a signature win that they can build on going into next season. A strong finish would be huge for them from a confidence/optimism standpoint. They've been pass-happy this year but I think the running game will be a factor tomorrow.
Other Plays:
Eagles -3
I think this line is pretty telling. Books are basically saying that these two teams are equal by making Philly a 3 point fave at home. Also, why hasn't the line dropped to 2.5 with the +3 getting juiced so heavily? Eagles in a close game.
Oakland +1
I think the Raiders pull this one out at home. Expecting a heavy dose of Michael Bush and play action from the offense. Not an easy spot for Detroit to travel all the way to Oakland in a game they really need.
Redskins +6.5
Skins have been playing a little better as of late. Almost upset the Pats last week, won in Seattle, and lost in OT to the cowboys. Division games are never easy, especially when the division title is up for grabs. The Giants are going to be under a lot of pressure to win this game so I'm taking the points.
