Big Ben practiced for this first time Friday, albeit he was limited. Let's track what he does in Saturday's practice before we lock in anything

Word is, Ben will play. It's amazing what you can do with enough drugs shot into you. It's just a matter of when those drugs wear off and if he can finish the game.

I think the under is the best play for this game.

UPDATE: Sunday morning, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reported that the result of the Sunday night game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers could play a role in the Pittsburgh Steelers' decision as to whether Ben Roethlisberger will play on Monday night.

                        ---

In the time since Roethlisberger sustained an ankle injury against the Cleveland Browns, we've wondered whether he'd be able to come back and play in the team's intriguing matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15. Over the course of the week of practices leading up to the contest, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin did confirm that he wanted to see the QB take part in practice before sending him out in the game.

On Friday and Saturday, Roethlisberger was on the practice field, albeit in a limited fashion, and gazing at the team's official injury report, we see that he's been listed as questionable. By the guidelines of the NFL rules on the designations, this means that the QB has a 50 percent chance of playing.

While we'll await the final word on Roethlisberger's status, we do know that if he can't play, Charlie Batch will get the start, with Dennis Dixon taking over as backup.
