take a look at the four QBs that Carolina has beaten. all backups. any above avg QB is going to light them up, and now with two starting defensive tackles out they will be starting an undrafted rookie in one spot and a second year guy who rarely sees the field as well. Turner has had real good days vs Panthers in past. not saying Carolina isn't going to score some as well, but they won't keep up, not when Atlanta needs this way more. taking Carolina off a 2 game win streak vs anybody isn't a good play.

this is actually funny. carolina has beat jacksonville, washington during their collapse, colts, and bucs. wow pretty impressive. not a single close playoff team so before you start calling falcons not a playoff team look at what carolina has done. Newton will not score rushing touchdowns. matty ice will not throw 2 pics in first half and they will come to play after last week.

Haha - the Bucs packed it in 3x weeks ago. Im actually glad to see that there are a lot of Panther backers out there for this game. Falcons stock value has decreased and I love it. The reality is that they are still very healthy and vying for a playoff spot and the Panthers are the same team that lost to Atlants by 14 earlier in the year. Additionally, no team will be more focused than ATL this week after what happend in Texas. The dropped passes, the overthrows, the penalties and the 2x defensive TDs called back last week will not happen again this week. GL with the Panties Sunday!!

Bear I watched the whole Tampa game as I had a substantial wager on Carolina. The reason Blount got nothing was that Carolina did not have to respect the passing game at all as Freeman was out. The left the wideouts and Winslow in man coverage and jammed everyone else in the box to shadow the scrambling of JJ and stuff the interior. Tampa was not going to stretch the field and Carolina knew it.

They would be ill advised to do that against Atlanta. Carolina's depleted linebackers will have their hands full this week IF Michael Turner is healthy. To me Turner and his sore groin are the keys to this one.

Don't read anything into Carolina stuffing Blount last week. It does not apply to this one.

you can count on early air attack to get JJ back mentally. i actually think they spread them out. they were too conservative last week, stubborn with 1st down/2nd down runs. won't be that way this week.

Only chance Carolina has is if Newton and company go off through the air for 4 QTRs against a semi depleted Falcons secondary. I think the real play here is the OVER. Carolina will give it up and Newton and company will get some. I can see 31-28 Final.

Its obvious that you didn't watch the game for even one second. Because TJ Yates did not beat us, the Houston defense did. Houston defense played outstanding and shut down Turner completely. Early on in the game Matt Ryan missed a couple of deep shots down the field to Roddy White and Julio Jones. But as the game went on he became more accurate but his receivers were dropping easy catches over the middle. All around it was a bad game for the Falcons offense but I must give credit to the Houston defense, not the Houston offense.

That is certainly a valid concern. Atlanta's shut down corner Brent Grimes will miss his 2nd straight after a knee procedure. They are going to have a backup on Steve Smith and that may be a key to this game.

I am betting Carolina will not be able to establish the run to set that up.

If they do my Atlanta bet will be in jeopardy.

This is one where I definitely played the number haven gotten -1.5 on a side I liked. It is -3 now but plus money.
