LOOKING FOR QUALITY FEEDBACK ON THE ATLANTA -3 at CAROLINA GAME
I am seriously considering playing the Atlanta -3 +100 at Carolina game this coming Sunday, and because I at times only see what I want to see, I would appreciate any quality input others might have. Much appreciated!

My only advice at this point is Atlanta is a completely different team when not playing at home. Keep this in mind.

An ineperienced Carolina team will be over-confident after winning two-straight, including a blowout win over TB in Week 13. IMO, the TB win doesn't mean much as TB has been a dysfunctional team this year and is overrated based on their success from last year. The Atlanta defense is much better than Tampa's and Carolina will not see the kind of openings they've been accustomed to over the past couple of weeks. Although Atlanta's offense is not explosive, it is solid and they should find holes in Carolina's suspect defense. Carolina's D has performed well lately, but against weak competition. I think we see the Carolina defense we've seen for the majority of the year in this game. Also, Atlanta doesn't strike me as a let-down type of team that might not show up for a game. The reason they lose games is because of lack of talent, not lack of preparation. In this case, Atlanta has the better talent and -3 at even money seems like a good bet.

Yes. and looking to do possibly the same on Pittsburgh. I am also looking to possibly put Pittsburgh with the spread in a parlay with Atlanta or Detroit.

I really like Pittsburgh because they are peaking right now, and still have the potential to win there division. There defense is outstanding, Big Ben is playing great, they have great receivers in Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown, they have a super tight end in Heath Miller, and Mendenhall played a great game against Cincinnati. They have had several major players hurt this year, but now they are all back. Lamar Woodley who has missed several games with a hamstring injury came back for the Cinncinnati game, only to tweak the hamstring again. I do however expect him back this week. I really think the way the Steelers are coming on, they might be the favorite to make it to the Super Bowl out of there conference. Lastly, I really like Head Coach Mike Tomlin.

No, I bet on Pittsburgh two times this year, winning once, and losing when they played Jacksonville. I took them this past week because I knew they were finally healthy, and it proved to be a great decision on my part.

Atlanta is not the same team on the road as they are at home. Carolina's D has played better as of late, although they haven't gone up against the best of offenses (Indy, TB). Last time, the Panthers lost 31-17 in the done as favourites, IIRC. This time, I think they will cover as 'dogs. The Panthers running game has improved, and I think the revenge angle will be played here.
Anyone have thoughts on 49ers-3.5 @ Cardinals? Thanks.

No problem. Yeah, it seems like a very tough game to call. NFC South division games in general are hard to cap, IMO.
Thanks!

Good thread so far! Going back to the road issues I've started to look at ATL the same as NO. I just don't understand how the road can make such a difference in NO's game and they are a much better team than ATL IMO. So I rarely play NO on the road and ATL has now been included in that group. Actually went ML against ATL last week and it worked out nicely.
If this was NO on the road against CAR I'd be all over NO just because of the CAR D. I think I'm actually starting to consider putting a play on CAR after this thread. They have been good to me this year.

I think you are right Big Bear, but I am not confident in the pick. I am however looking for another play to complete my 3 team parlay wager that I am sure you saw on another thread with San Diego and New England. Kind of like New Orleans for various reasons, but have to research it more before pulling the trigger on it.
