Money-line bets are the same thing as straight-up bets. You are placing a bet on who you think will win the game. No point spread is involved.

Lets use Dallas vs Arizona as an example.

Dallas is favored to win. The money-line odds on Dallas are -220. This means that if you bet $220, you will WIN $100. So, the total pay out is $320.

Arizona is not favored to win; therefore, the money-line odds for Arizona will pay you more money.

The money-line odds on Arizona are +180. This means that if you bet $100, you will WIN $180. So, the total pay out is $280.
