no doubt... rumors spags will be let go in stl, and brought in as DC here... if that happens, along with an early first and 2 second round picks, and a full offseason with all the new pieces... def could have potential and will be among the nfc favorites again.. BDawk was missed terribly this yr

na, he keeps this team relevant, which is what makes the team money... take a look back at the 2005 season, very similar.. he will have this team among the favorites again very soon, just as he did back then

It wasnt just on paper though... when healthy, they did play with anyone... they had the lead in the 4th quarter in 9 of their first 10 games.. and the one they didnt, they had the ball at the end with a chance to win.. this team is close, as tough as it is to admit.. a few coaching changes and personnel moves, they will be right there are among the elite

I dont think they'll ever get there with vick, he just turns the ball over way too much, and obviously you cant have your franchise quarterback leaving almost every game with injury. Will be interesting to see what they do with djax, mccoy.. and babins on a 1 year deal right? VY will be gone, samuel probably get traded. As you know having the lead doesnt mean anything, great teams can finish

other 2 games would be same place finish as NFC North & NFC West. So, if they finish last which is what it's looking like they would be home against Minn & away against St Louis.

Reid needs to go, it's the same mistakes over & over. It was his call to bring in Castillo, so he should get fired just for that.

Exactly... for example, this season the eagles played atl and chic (two tough games), while the redskins got to play minny and carolina (two easier games)

looking forward to being on the other side of that equation next yr

Na babin is locked up as well as nnamdi and jenkins.. yea, asante needs to go.. he is what killed the defensive scheme from the start. Mccoy has another year, but will find himself a huge deal before then... Djax status is completely up in the air.. who knows what might go down there? Great teams can finish, you are right.. that is what is missing.. will new coordinators, a full offseason with all the new pieces, and a few early round picks along with some FA pickups help with that? maybe... gotta hope so..

I wouldn't put too much stock into the draft if Reid is still there. His high round draft picks (1st & 2nd round) have been horrible. 1999, 2002, & 2009 were his only good drafts, & Maclin & McCoy are the only one's on the team from that 09 draft.

Idk, I think that is debatable... he has def had some clunkers, but hasnt been as bad as you are making it seem... This years pick, Watkins, has been able to step in and start as a rookie, and has been very solid along with the 6th round pick starting center Kelce who has been great.. Last years pick, Graham, is still unknown bc of injury.. He got djax in the 2nd round in 08 (which right now is not the best situation, but def found good talent here in the 2nd)...he got kolb in the 2nd round in 07, which brought back a pro bowl caliber corner in DRC and also another 2nd rounder, and got Celek late in the 5th... he got a solid starting DT in patterson late in the first round of 2005, along with todd heremans in the 4th and trent cole in the 5th round (ended up being a great draft).... he got shawn andrews in 04 who was a great pick, until the guy went nuts and had injury problems (got a few great yrs out of him though)... 2002 like you said was a huge year.... 2000 he got Corey Simon who was a stud for a few yrs until he got that weird disease then was shipped to indy... and obviously got Donny in 1999..

So hasnt been terrible... has brought in some good talent.. what hurt was losing Simon and Andrews before their careers could take off due to injury, and also Graham from last yr still not being able to get on the field..

The first round busts under Reid have been: Bunkley (even though he started for a few yrs... def never lived up to what he shoulda been though), McDougle, and Fred Mitchell

His mid round picks have been good but 1st 2 rounds have been poor

                            99 McNabb- great, Gardner bad
00 Simon good, Pinky bad, Bobbi Williams bad
                            01 Mitchell bad, Caver bad
02 Lito good, Lewis good, Sheldon Brown good
03 McDougle bad, LJ Smith below average
04 Andrews was good turned bad
05 Patterson good, Reggie Brown bad, Matt McCoy bad
06 Bunkley below average, Justice below average
07 Kolb below average will be a backup pretty soon, Abimari bad
08 Laws- average, Djax Good, had character issues going into draft & they're now showing, won't be on team
                            09 Maclin great, McCoy great
10 Graham still early but he doesn't fit their scheme, Allen still early but is struggling
11 Watkins too early, Jarrett too early

The draft is always a crapshoot but your top picks should be less of a risk than the other rounds.
